1. Agreement to Terms
Welcome to Sensemaking: The Game (“Sensemaker”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“you”, “your”, or “User”) and Loveable LLC governing your use of the Sensemaker mobile application.
By creating an account or using Sensemaker, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility
2.1 Age Requirements
Minimum Age: You must be at least 13 years old to use Sensemaker
Users Under 13: Children under 13 may use the App only with verifiable parental or legal guardian consent, in compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Parental Consent: Parents or legal guardians are responsible for their children’s use of the App
2.2 Account Responsibility
You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account at [email protected]
2.3 Geographic Restrictions
Sensemaker is available worldwide, but you must comply with all local laws and regulations in your jurisdiction when using the App.
3. Account Creation and Management
3.1 Registration
You may create an account using:
Email and password
Google OAuth
Facebook OAuth
3.2 Username and Profile
You must choose a unique username
Your username and profile content must not:
– Infringe on the rights of others
– Contain offensive, inappropriate, or illegal content
– Impersonate any person or entity
– Contain spam, promotional content, or misleading information
We reserve the right to reclaim or modify usernames that violate these Terms
3.3 Account Suspension and Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:
Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
Harassment or harm to other users
Spam, bot activity, or automated abuse
Attempts to circumvent payment systems or cheat
Any conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, is harmful to the App or other users
3.4 Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Upon deletion:
Your account data will be retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted
You will lose access to all credits, subscriptions, and in-app purchases (non-refundable)
Your game progress, achievements, and statistics will be permanently lost
Deletion is irreversible after the 30-day retention period
4. License to Use the App
4.1 Limited License
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
Download and install the App on your personal mobile device
Access and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use
4.2 Restrictions
You may NOT:
Copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Access the App using automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) without our prior written permission
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App, other users’ accounts, or our systems
Interfere with or disrupt the App or servers
Use the App to transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
Violate any applicable laws or regulations while using the App
5. Credits and Virtual Currency
5.1 Credit System
Sensemaker uses a virtual currency system called “Credits” to access certain features:
Credits are used for AI-powered conversations, voice features, and other premium functionality
Credits have no real-world monetary value
Credits are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash
Credits cannot be transferred between users
5.2 Earning Credits
You may earn credits through:
Free Trial: New users receive 50 trial credits (one-time grant, 3-day trial period)
Subscriptions: Monthly subscriptions grant credits per billing period (see Section 6)
Credit Packs: One-time credit purchases (see Section 6.3)
Promotional Grants: Occasional promotional credits (at our sole discretion)
5.3 Credit Usage
Credits are deducted based on AI usage (tokens processed, voice characters transcribed/synthesized)
Credit costs per feature are subject to change with notice
Credits do not expire as long as your account remains active
Upon account deletion, all unused credits are forfeited (non-refundable)
5.4 No Refunds for Credits
Credits, whether purchased or earned, are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.
6. Subscriptions and Purchases
6.1 Subscription Plans
We offer the following monthly subscription plans:
Explorer: $7.99/month – 100 credits
Analyst: $14.99/month – 250 credits
Master: $19.99/month – 500 credits
6.2 Subscription Terms
Billing Cycle: Subscriptions renew automatically each month on your billing date
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings
Effect of Cancellation: Upon cancellation, you will retain access to subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period. No partial refunds are provided.
Credit Grants: Subscription credits are granted at the start of each billing period and do not roll over
Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days’ notice. Price changes will apply to subsequent billing periods after notice.
6.3 Credit Packs (One-Time Purchases)
You may purchase credit packs:
Small Pack: $4.99 for 50 credits
Medium Pack: $9.99 for 120 credits (20% bonus)
Large Pack: $19.99 for 300 credits (50% bonus)
Credit pack purchases are one-time, non-recurring transactions.
6.4 Payment Processing
All payments are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
You must comply with the applicable store’s terms of service
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and validate purchases
Payment information is handled by Apple/Google; we do not store your credit card details
6.5 Taxes
You are responsible for all applicable taxes, duties, and fees imposed by your jurisdiction.
6.6 Free Trial
New users receive a 3-day free trial with 50 trial credits
Trial credits are granted once per user
Trial credits do not expire during the trial period
After the trial period, standard credit usage and subscription options apply
7. Refund Policy
7.1 General Policy
All sales are final. We generally do not provide refunds for subscriptions, credit packs, or unused credits, except as required by law.
7.2 Apple and Google Refund Policies
Apple App Store: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through your App Store account. Apple’s refund policy applies.
Google Play Store: Refund requests must be submitted directly to Google through your Google Play account. Google’s refund policy applies.
We do not control Apple or Google’s refund decisions.
7.3 Exceptional Circumstances
In exceptional circumstances (e.g., technical issues preventing credit use, unauthorized charges), you may request a refund by contacting [email protected] with:
Your account email
Purchase receipt/transaction ID
Detailed explanation of the issue
We will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis at our sole discretion.
7.4 Subscription Cancellation Refunds
If you cancel a subscription, you will NOT receive a refund for the current billing period. Your subscription benefits will continue until the end of the paid period.
8. User Content and Conduct
8.1 User-Generated Content
You may create content in Sensemaker, including:
Profile information (username, display name, bio, avatar)
Conversation messages with AI
Debate arguments in multiplayer sessions
Feedback and communications
8.2 Content Ownership
Your Content: You retain ownership of your user-generated content
License to Us: By submitting content, you grant Loveable LLC a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content to provide and improve the App
AI Training: We do not use your personal conversations to train third-party AI models without your consent
8.3 Content Standards
You agree that your content will NOT:
Violate any laws or regulations
Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Contain hate speech, harassment, threats, or bullying
Include sexually explicit, violent, or graphic content
Promote illegal activities or self-harm
Contain spam, advertising, or solicitation
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
Include personal information of others without consent
Contain malicious code or links to malicious sites
8.4 Content Moderation
We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to:
Monitor, review, and moderate user content
Remove or refuse to display content that violates these Terms
Suspend or terminate accounts that violate our content standards
Report illegal content to law enforcement
8.5 Prohibited Conduct
You agree NOT to:
Harass, bully, or threaten other users
Impersonate others or create fake accounts
Engage in cheating, exploits, or unfair advantages
Attempt to buy, sell, or trade accounts
Spam users with unwanted friend requests or messages
Use the App for commercial purposes without our permission
Scrape or collect user data without authorization
9. Multiplayer and Social Features
9.1 Multiplayer Gameplay
Multiplayer sessions involve real-time debates with other users
Your arguments and responses are visible to other session participants
Multiplayer session results (scores, winners) may be publicly visible based on privacy settings
9.2 Friend System
You may send friend requests to other users
Other users may accept or decline your friend requests
You can block users to prevent interaction
Friend discovery via contacts requires your explicit opt-in consent
9.3 Fair Play
Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorized tools is prohibited
We may adjust scores, revoke achievements, or suspend accounts for unfair play
Coordinating with other users to manipulate leaderboards or outcomes is prohibited
9.4 Reporting
If you encounter inappropriate content or behavior, report it to [email protected] with details.
10. Intellectual Property Rights
10.1 Our Ownership
Sensemaker and all content, features, and functionality are owned by Loveable LLC and protected by:
Copyright laws
Trademark laws
Patent laws
Trade secret laws
Other intellectual property laws
This includes (but is not limited to):
App design, layout, and user interface
Game mechanics and systems
AI prompts and conversation templates
Logos, branding, and trademarks
Software code and algorithms
Graphics, images, and animations
Audio and music
10.2 Trademarks
“Sensemaking: The Game,” “Sensemaker,” and associated logos are trademarks of Loveable LLC. You may not use our trademarks without prior written permission.
10.3 Third-Party Content
The App may include content licensed from third parties. You must respect all third-party intellectual property rights.
10.4 DMCA Compliance
If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, please contact us at [email protected] with:
Description of the copyrighted work
Location of the infringing material
Your contact information
A statement of good faith belief
A statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate
Your physical or electronic signature
We will respond in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
11. AI-Generated Content
11.1 AI Conversations
Sensemaker uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenRouter and other AI providers) to generate:
Conversation responses
Debate arguments
Feedback and scoring
Educational content
11.2 AI Content Disclaimer
AI-generated content is provided “as is” without guarantees of accuracy
AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate, biased, or inappropriate
We do not endorse or verify all AI-generated content
You use AI features at your own discretion
11.3 Reporting AI Issues
If you encounter problematic AI-generated content, please report it to [email protected].
12. Voice Features
12.1 Voice Input and Output
You may optionally enable voice features (powered by ElevenLabs):
Voice Input: Speak your responses instead of typing
Voice Output: Hear AI responses read aloud
12.2 Voice Data Processing
Voice recordings are temporarily stored for transcription
Recordings are deleted immediately after transcription
Only text transcripts are retained
Voice features consume credits based on character count
12.3 Voice Consent
By enabling voice features, you consent to:
Recording your voice for transcription
Temporary storage and processing of audio
Use of third-party voice processing services (ElevenLabs)
You may disable voice features at any time in settings.
13. Privacy and Data Protection
Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains:

By using Sensemaker, you also agree to our Privacy Policy, available at docs/privacy-policy.md or in the App.
14. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
14.1 “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy, reliability, or availability
Error-free or uninterrupted operation
14.2 Educational Purpose
Sensemaker is designed for educational and entertainment purposes. It is NOT:
A substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, etc.)
A source of verified factual information
Guaranteed to improve specific skills or outcomes
14.3 Third-Party Services
We are not responsible for:
Third-party service failures (Supabase, RevenueCat, AI providers, etc.)
Apple App Store or Google Play Store issues
Internet connectivity or device compatibility issues
Actions of other users
14.4 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOVEABLE LLC AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
Indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages
Loss of profits, revenue, data, or use
Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
Damages resulting from errors, bugs, or interruptions
Any damages exceeding the amount you paid to us in the 12 months prior to the claim
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY, SO THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
14.5 Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Loveable LLC from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising from:
Your violation of these Terms
Your violation of any laws or third-party rights
Your user-generated content
Your use of the App
15. Dispute Resolution
15.1 Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
15.2 Jurisdiction and Venue
You agree that any legal action or dispute arising from these Terms or the App shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Ingham County, Michigan. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts.
15.3 Informal Resolution
Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] to attempt informal resolution. We will attempt to resolve disputes in good faith within 30 days.
15.4 Class Action Waiver
YOU AGREE TO RESOLVE DISPUTES WITH US ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS ACTIONS, CLASS ARBITRATIONS, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTIONS.
15.5 Time Limit for Claims
You must bring any claim arising from these Terms or the App within one (1) year of the claim arising, or the claim is permanently barred.
16. Updates and Changes to the App
16.1 App Updates
We may release updates to the App to:
Add new features
Fix bugs and improve performance
Enhance security
Comply with legal requirements
You may need to download updates to continue using the App.
16.2 Feature Changes
We reserve the right to:
Modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time
Change credit costs or pricing with notice
Adjust game mechanics, scoring, or algorithms
We will notify you of material changes through the App or email.
17. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make changes:
We will update the “Last Updated” date at the top
We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification
Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance
If you do not agree to updated Terms, you must stop using the App
18. Termination
18.1 Termination by You
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time.
18.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App immediately, without notice, for:
Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Non-payment of fees
Abuse or harm to the App or other users
Any reason at our sole discretion
18.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
Your license to use the App is revoked
You must cease all use of the App
You will lose access to your account, credits, and subscriptions (non-refundable)
Sections that should survive termination (liability limitations, dispute resolution, etc.) will remain in effect
19. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Loveable LLC regarding the App and supersede all prior agreements.
21. No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
22. Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account to any third party. We may assign these Terms to any affiliate or successor without notice.
